On November 14, 2022, HHS held a listening session with large healthcare systems and patient advocates to learn about advancing patient and health worker safety and how best to co-create a National Healthcare System Action Alliance to Advance Patient Safety. Secretary Becerra announced plans to issue a Request for Information to allow all stakeholders to provide input on how to make that Action Alliance most effective, and the creation of a cross-departmental working group to coordinate HHS efforts to advance patient safety.
