More than a dozen blasts shake Ukraine nuclear power plant | DW News
The International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed that the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in eastern Ukraine was shelled overnight.
In a tweet, the UN watchdog said more than a dozen blasts shook Europe’s biggest nuclear facility on Saturday evening and Sunday. Citing information provided by plant management, the agency’s team on the ground said some buildings were damaged but none of them critical for nuclear safety and security so far.
Russia’s defense ministry accused Ukraine of firing at the power lines supplying the plant.
