Smoke-Free South Carolina: Improving Health Outcomes at Mental Health Facilities
Did you know that tobacco use for people with mental illness is 2 to 3 times higher than for the general population? CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health has partnered with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control to implement a two-pronged approach that helps break the harmful relationship between mental illness and tobacco in mental health facilities across the state.
