The world pays tribute to former Pope Benedict | DW News

Tributes have poured in from around the world for former Pope Benedict who died Saturday at the age of 95. Pope Francis honored his predecessor at an evening service in Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Benedict’s health had been in decline for several years, and he had been largely absent from public view.
