What Germany’s tank reluctance could mean for Ukraine, Russia and NATO | DW News

Western military leaders meeting in Germany have failed to reach agreement on sending German-made battle tanks to Ukraine. Kyiv was optimistic that Berlin would give approval for its powerful Leopard 2 tanks to be delivered to the battlefield. But Germany’s defense minister, Boris Pistorius, said his country was still weighing the decision. That sparked protests in Berlin and pleas from other countries to provide the weaponry.
