Today, the Leopard 2 tank could get German PM Olaf Scholz’ permission to go to Ukraine | DW News

German media are reporting that Chancellor Olaf Scholz will today announce a decision to send German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
The decision to send Leopard 2 tanks comes as the US now appears ready to send its Abrams tanks too.
Scholz is also expected to approve requests from Poland and other countries to send the German produced Leopard 2 tanks.
The decision comes amid increased pressure from Western allies to scale up military aid for Kyiv. Ukraine wants to use the battle tanks to reclaim territory still occupied by Russian forces.
