Memphis police disband ‘SCORPION’ unit after Tyre Nichols beating | DW News

The police department in the US city of Memphis has disbanded the special unit which included the officers charged with murdering Tyre Nichols. The decision came a day after bodycam footage was released, showing five officers beating Nichols during a traffic stop. Protests against police violence took place in US several cities on Saturday.
