Secretary Janet Yellen’s Remarks at the National Association of Counties 2023 Legislative Conference
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen addresses the National Association of Counties (NACo) during their General Session at the 2023 NACo Legislative Conference. Nearly 2,000 elected and appointed county officials from across the country will convene at the conference to discuss pressing federal policy issues facing county governments and strengthen intergovernmental partnerships. During her remarks, Secretary Yellen highlights Treasury’s partnership with county leaders and local governments in implementing President Biden’s American Rescue Plan, which helped avert a deep and sustained economic downturn and provided a strong foundation for future economic growth in counties across the country.
